Chemical Peel

What Are Chemical Peels?

At BLU Clinic our main aim is to provide our patients with the best possible skin, leaving them satisfied with a glowing complexion.

One of our popular, scientifically proven, skin treatments that are suitable for all skin types and tackles many skin concerns is known as Chemical Peeling.

Chemical peel is the third most common non-invasive cosmetic procedure after Botulinum Toxin and Dermal Fillers. Chemical peels are a type of special treatment that involves the application of an acidic solution to the skin in order to exfoliate the outer layers of the skin and induce the natural healing pathways. The regenerated skin is smoother and healthier.

There are a number of different acid types and strengths that can be used. Our London based skin care doctors will advise and guide you on the best skin peel treatment for your specific skin type, helping you to achieve your ‘dream skin’.

Types of Chemical Peels

Generally, there are two main types of peel: superficial peel and deeper peel. Superficial peel has no down time and is mainly used for antiaging and rejuvenation purposes, whereas deeper peel is used to treat deeper skin concerns such as dermal hyperpigmentation. With deeper peels patients may also experience some temporary irritation.

At BLU Clinics London we offer both superficial and deeper peels, and offer four different brands to choose from. Each brand has its specific benefits so book a consultation to find out which is the best peel for your skin type and concerns.

“Brilliant first-time experience, non-painful, non-stressful and with almost immediate results. As someone who has always been sceptical and reticent to any sort of aesthetic procedure- I highly recommend Dr. Irina and her gentle touch: she’ll carefully listen to your needs, guide and follow you step-by-step, clarify and disperse any doubts and finally- take the desired result home. Overall 10/10.”
